Cache Valley swimmers shine at 4A state meet

Sky View girls take third, other local teams also perform well

The Sky View High School girls swimming team finished third at the 4A state championships, led by standout senior Tayley Meyerson who set school records and earned multiple medals. Other Cache Valley teams like Ridgeline, Mountain Crest, and Green Canyon also had strong showings, with several swimmers placing in the top eight of their events.

Sky View finished third at the 4A state meet with 199 points, behind only Park City (383 points) and Desert Hills (232). Meyerson led the way for the Bobcats, setting school records in the 100-yard butterfly and 100 backstroke while earning medals in four events. She teamed up with Jessica Schwartz, Lily Condos, and Ruth Olsen to take silver in the 200 freestyle relay and bronze in the 200 medley relay. Individually, Meyerson was the bronze medalist in the 100 fly and 100 back. Schwartz also had a strong meet, winning silver in the 100 breaststroke. Other top finishers from the region included Ridgeline's Hattie Walsh and Eloise Casperson, Mountain Crest's Malia Hart, and Green Canyon's Jane West.
