Carbon Track Shines at Pine View Invitational
Dino teams place in top 15 at competitive Utah meet

The Carbon High School track and field teams competed at the Pine View Invitational over the weekend, with the Lady Dinos finishing 7th out of 44 teams and the boys' team taking 15th place out of 48 teams. The Lady Dinos relay team won the sprint medley relay, and individual standouts included Rozlyn Stowe with a 2nd place finish in the 1600m and other top finishes.
Why it matters
The Pine View Invitational is one of the largest and most competitive high school track meets in Utah, drawing over 40 teams from across the state. Carbon's strong showings demonstrate the quality of their track program and provide momentum heading into the rest of the season.
The details
In the girls' division, Emery High School won the team title with 60 points, followed by Corner Canyon (52 points) and Riverton (48 points). Carbon scored 28 points to finish 7th. The Lady Dinos' sprint medley relay team of Blythe Bradford, Malia Smith, Naomi Smith, and Rozlyn Stowe won their event with a time of 4:13.16. Individually, Stowe had a 2nd place finish in the 1600m, 4th in the 3200m, and 6th in the 800m. Bradford placed 8th in the long jump. On the boys' side, Orem High School won the team title with 58 points. Carbon's boys' team finished 15th with 16 points, led by a 2nd place finish in the sprint medley relay by Michael Weber, Benjamin Simms, Dallin Humes, and Dexter Packard. Packard also took 2nd in the long jump.
