According to Wichita Falls Fire Marshal Eddie Mawson, the fire department was called to 5006 Lakefront Drive, close to Wichita Lake, shortly after 3 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, for reports of a structure fire. At the scene, firefighters reported a fully involved, single-story house fire, with flames and smoke visible from the building. The fire took 2 hours to contain, and after it was extinguished, firefighters determined that two people had been in the house, both of whom were reported as deceased.
