West Sabine's Hunter Murphy, a junior at Stephen F. Austin State University, won the high jump event at the Clyde Hart Classic track and field meet in Waco, Texas on Saturday. Murphy cleared 2.13 meters (6-foot-11¾) to take home the gold medal.
