The City of Sugar Land has announced that there will be significant lane closures on southbound US-59 over the next two weekends as part of the ongoing Brazos River Bridge project. During both weekends, three outside lanes of southbound US-59 will be closed, with the two inside lanes remaining open. The feeder road will also temporarily open to help reduce congestion.
