The No. 4 Dallas Baptist University (DBU) women's golf team is set to compete in the Rattler Invitational on February 23-24 at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. The Patriots, led by Head Coach Kenny Trapp, are seeking their fifth tournament title after winning the event three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020.
Why it matters
DBU has consistently performed well this season, finishing no lower than fourth in any tournament. The team's top-ranked golfers, Ella Cheek, Gracie Grant, and Madison Ude, will look to lead the Patriots to victory and help Coach Trapp reach a career milestone of 100 tournament wins, a first for a Division II coach.
The details
The Patriots' starting five for the Rattler Invitational will be Ella Cheek, Gracie Grant, Sidney Robertson, Chloe Sirkin, and Madison Ude, with Presley Bolado competing as an individual. DBU is joined in the field by two other ranked teams from the Lone Star Conference: No. 18 UT Tyler and No. 18 St. Mary's.
