Antonian senior guard Madison Kanz made six consecutive 3-pointers in the first 8.5 minutes of the game to help lead her team to a 72-37 victory over Katy St. John XXIII in their TAPPS Class 6A playoff opener. Kanz finished with a game-high 20 points, while four Antonian players scored in double figures. The win advances Antonian to the state quarterfinals.

Kanz sank 6 of 6 3-pointers in the first 8.5 minutes of the game to stake Antonian to a 25-7 lead. The Apaches built the lead to 42-16 at halftime and led by as many as 31 points in the second half. In addition to Kanz's 20 points, freshman guard Ashley Ramirez had 15 points, while Lily Bacon and Autumn Losoya each scored 12 points. Senior forward Emma Copeland grabbed 14 rebounds to go with 8 points.
