Four Texans to Compete at 2026 Winter Olympics

The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan will feature four athletes from Texas competing for Team USA. The Lone Star State's representatives include a bobsledder from San Antonio, a pair of figure skaters from Pasadena and Plano, and an ice hockey player from Coppell.

Boone Niederhofer, a former Texas A&M football player from San Antonio, will compete in bobsled. Emily Chan, a 24-year figure skating veteran from Pasadena, and Amber Glenn, a triple Axel specialist from Plano, will represent the U.S. in figure skating. Hannah Bilka, from a family of skaters and hockey players in Coppell, was a top draft pick for the Professional Women's Hockey League in 2024 and will play ice hockey.

An ice hockey player from Coppell who was the fourth overall draft pick for the Boston Fleet in the Professional Women's Hockey League in 2024 and won gold with the U.S. team at the 2023 IIHF World Championships.
