Lopez, a junior golfer, shot a 147 at the District 2-6A Boys Golf Championship to qualify for the regional tournament as an individual. Weir, a junior pitcher and infielder for the Lady Bulldogs softball team, had a dominant week at the plate and in the circle, including a 16-3 win over Odessa Permian.

Lopez shot a 75-72—147 at the District 2-6A Boys Golf Championship, placing third in the medalist standings and qualifying for the Region I-6A Tournament as an individual. Weir struck out 12 batters in a 14-2 win over Odessa High, then went 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored in a 16-3 victory over Odessa Permian.
