Seven Midland ISD athletes won individual events on the first day of the District 2-6A Track and Field Meet on Wednesday in San Angelo. The Legacy High boys team leads the team standings with 55 points after winning three events, while the Midland High boys won two events.

For the Legacy boys, junior Jaime Arreola won the 3,200 meters, senior Nic Moore took the long jump, and senior Dylan Walters defended his title in the shot put. On the Legacy girls side, sophomore Ibunkun Subair won the discus, and senior Madison Gonzales claimed the shot put. Midland High's Isaac Lujan won the high jump, and Cage Peugh took the pole vault.
