LibertyStream has begun construction of a second lithium carbonate production facility, this one located in Howard County, Texas. The new facility will integrate with Select Water Solutions' existing produced water pretreatment and recycling infrastructure to commence initial lithium carbonate production in early 2026. This is part of an agreement between the two companies to build out commercial lithium carbonate production facilities at certain Select water treatment and recycling sites in the Midland Basin.

This first-stage facility is intended to validate the onsite systems integration, support continued bulk sample production for customer qualification, and establish the operating template for scaling additional facilities throughout 2026. LibertyStream plans to commence lithium carbonate production and ship bulk samples to customers for testing and qualification in both industrial and battery-grade markets.
