Midland College sophomore golfer Scott Spark won the medalist title at the NCTC Spring Invitational played Monday and Tuesday at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth. Spark finished with a 68-73—141 total to finish one shot ahead of Weatherford College's Tanaka Chatora (69-73—142).

The defending national champion Chaparrals finished second as a team as they shot 293-290—583, 12 shots back of Weatherford College (286-289—575). Other Midland College golfers who placed well include Reuben Harvey (tied for 9th), Hunter Welch (tied for 12th), and Kalle Blixt (tied for 12th).
