What they’re saying
“Our entire lineup was on the field at some point during the tournament and I thought our kids did a nice job of adjusting hitting wise. We were able to score runs, put runners on the basepaths and push them around. That was something that we needed to work on. We had been leaving a lot of runners on, so it was nice to see that we were able to start pushing some across the plate.”
— Shawnda Vines, Midland High Head Coach
“To be honest, I didn't know. I hadn't been keeping track. It was a surprise with a banner and everything. It was very surprising. It's very humbling because those 650 wins aren't me. Those 650 wins are the talented kids that have come through this program over the course of the last few years.”
— Shawnda Vines, Midland High Head Coach
“Last game they swung it well. They stepped in the box with a plan and they executed it pretty well.”
— Mandy Davis, Midland Legacy Head Coach
“She was very strong the last couple of innings. We hope she keeps moving forward with that same momentum.”
— Mandy Davis, Midland Legacy Head Coach
