Former County Commissioner Luis Sanchez has been appointed as the new director of Midland College's Cogdell Learning Center, a satellite facility located in Midland's South Side. Sanchez, a Midland High School graduate, will oversee the center's educational programs, including GED and ESL classes, and plans to create a community advisory committee to help expand the center's offerings to better meet the needs of Midland's immigrant populations.
