OpTic Texas increased their lead in the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major qualifying standings with a sweep of the Vancouver Surge on Sunday. Toronto KOI and the Miami Heretics also swept their opponents, while Boston Breach took a 3-1 decision over FaZe Vegas in other third-day action of Week 3.
Why it matters
The 12 CDL teams are playing a full qualifying round robin to determine seeding for the second major of the season, which will be held in March in England. The top six teams in qualifying head straight into the Stage 2 Major playoffs, while the teams in seventh through 10th place will compete in a play-in round.

OpTic Texas improved to 6-0, ahead of the second-place Los Angeles Thieves (4-1), who did not have a Sunday match. OpTic Texas blanked the Vancouver Surge, winning 250-185 on Scar Hardpoint, 6-2 on Raid Search and Destroy and 4-2 on Den Overload. Cuyler 'Huke' Garland was selected match MVP with a plus-25 ratio (71-46). Toronto KOI swept Paris Gentle Mates in three close maps, while Boston Breach dropped the first map to FaZe Vegas before responding with three straight wins. The Miami Heretics also swept Cloud9 New York.
