Chuck Charnichart of Barbs B Q in Lockhart, Texas and Jonny White of Goldee's Bar-B-Q in Fort Worth are opening a new restaurant called Kirbee's in Brooklyn, New York. The restaurant will blend the cooking styles and signature dishes from both of their acclaimed barbecue joints.

The two chefs met while working at Franklin Barbecue in Austin in 2016 and have remained close friends, with White helping Charnichart learn barbecue and then encouraging her to open her own restaurant in 2023.
