It has received national recognition, ranking 40th out of over 2,000 municipal courses in the U.S. in 2013 and 9th among the top public courses in Texas in 2022. The private Laredo Country Club, founded in 1983, offers a 160-acre layout, a 45,000-square-foot clubhouse, and other recreational facilities. The historic Casa Blanca Golf Course, designed in 1967, has hosted the Border Olympics collegiate tournament and seen play from future PGA stars like Fred Couples and Ben Crenshaw.
