Tacos A Go Go, the popular Tex-Mex restaurant chain in Houston, has opened two new locations - one in the Heights neighborhood and another in the Briargrove/Memorial area. The new restaurants feature a full bar with specialty cocktails designed by acclaimed bartender Bobby Heugel, offering a range of margaritas and other Mexican-inspired drinks to complement the chain's fresh, authentic tacos and other menu items.
Why it matters
The expansion of Tacos A Go Go, which has been a Houston staple for 20 years, demonstrates the continued demand for the brand's unique blend of Tex-Mex cuisine and retro-inspired ambiance. The addition of a full bar program, curated by a renowned cocktail expert, also signals the chain's evolution to provide a more well-rounded dining and drinking experience for its customers.
The details
The new Tacos A Go Go locations, designed by John Tsai of JT ARC Studio with interiors by Brittany Vaughan of Garnish Designs, feature a full bar with specialty cocktails created by James Beard Award Finalist Bobby Heugel. The cocktail menu includes six different margaritas, as well as Mexican-inspired classics with a twist, such as a ranch water made with the deep red Mexican drink jamaica, and an espresso martini with the warmth of mole spices. The new locations also offer a selection of non-alcoholic mocktails.
- Tacos A Go Go launched its first location in Houston's Midtown neighborhood 20 years ago, in 2006.
