La La Land Kind Cafe, a Dallas-based cafe chain, is expanding its footprint in the Greater Houston area with plans to open new locations in Katy's Meadows Marketplace shopping center and in Cypress. The company has filed permits for the new cafes, which will feature the brand's signature colorful lattes, signature coolers, and avocado and fruit-topped toasts.

According to the permit filings, the new "La La Land Cafe Katy" location will be situated at 6825 S. Fry Rd., Ste. 100, currently occupied by a Main Squeeze juice bar. The proposed $245,000 renovation project is expected to be completed by the end of June. Additionally, a permit was also filed for a La La Land location to open in Cypress at 9935 Barker Rd., Ste. 130. La La Land currently has 20 locations across Texas, as well as several others in Arizona, California, and Tennessee.
