Following a 29-6-2 season in 2025 that included the program's first trip to the 3A Region II final, the Boyd Lady Jackets have been ranked 9th in the inaugural Texas High School Softball 3A preseason poll. The Lady Jackets are returning five starters from last year's squad and will open their 2026 season this week at the Stephenville tournament.

• The Lady Jackets open their 2026 schedule on Thursday, February 9th against Early (2:15 p.m.) and Peaster (7:30 p.m.) at the Stephenville tournament.
• Boyd will also face Brock (noon) and Breckenridge (7:30 p.m.) on Friday, February 10th, and Copperas Cove (2:15 p.m.) on Saturday, February 11th at the Stephenville tournament.
• The Lady Jackets' home-opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, February 16th against Jacksboro.
