EagleNXT Expands in Europe as Defense Drone Market Demand Grows

U.S. drone maker EagleNXT sees growing opportunities in Europe for defense and counter-UAS technology

Published on Feb. 28, 2026

EagleNXT, a U.S. defense drone company, has announced several deals to market its eBee surveillance drones to European defense customers as the demand for drone-based defense and counter-UAS capabilities grows across the continent. The company's CEO says the drone-related threats faced by European security officials are similar to those in the U.S., with concerns over both criminal and state-sponsored drone activity.

Why it matters

The expanding European market for defense drones and counter-UAS technology reflects the growing threat posed by small, commercially available drones that could be used with malicious intent, including by state actors like Russia. This is driving increased investment and coordination at the EU level to develop a unified approach to addressing drone-related security challenges.

The details

EagleNXT recently announced deals to sell 15 of its eBee X fixed-wing drones to a European defense integrator, as well as two eBee VISION systems to the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR). The eBee X is designed for surveillance, training and threat emulation, with a flight time of up to 90 minutes and coverage of up to 1,250 acres per flight. EagleNXT's CEO says the company is also developing an international partnership to expand into the counter-UAS market.

  • In February 2026, German drone maker Wingcopter and Ukraine's TAF Industries signed an MoU to form a joint venture focused on reconnaissance drones for Ukraine.
  • Also in February 2026, German company Quantum Systems announced a €150 million financing package to support its aerial data intelligence business.
  • In December 2025, Florida-based Ondas Holdings announced a second major counter-UAS order from a European security authority.
