The operation has already resulted in several arrests, the recovery of firearms including one converted for automatic fire, and the seizure of drugs like fentanyl and crack cocaine.

As part of Operation We Got You, which runs through May 8, the Dallas Police Department's Fugitive Unit is working with the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force. Officials say the operation is focused on people wanted on violent felony warrants who pose the highest risk to public safety. In the first days of the sweep, authorities have reported recovering four firearms, including one that was stolen and another that was converted to fire automatically. They have also seized quantities of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine, as well as over $1,900 in cash.

• Operation We Got You launched on April 1, 2026 and will run through May 8, 2026.
• A similar crackdown called Operation Justice Trail resulted in nearly 100 fugitive arrests in May 2025.
