Dallas Animal Services is inviting North Texans to spend Valentine's Day weekend with shelter dogs through adoption events, Valentine Staycations, and Doggie Daycations. The weekend foster program runs from February 13-16, with set pickup windows for shorter outings. Participants must be 18 or older and remain within Dallas city limits.

The details

For the Valentine Staycations, participants can pick up dogs on Friday, February 13 between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and return them on either February 15 or 16, with possible extensions. The Doggie Daycations allow pickups on Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m., and on Sunday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. During the daycations, participants can enjoy trails, shopping, and coffee patios, but must stay within Dallas and avoid dog parks.
