The Texas Longhorns have scheduled an official visit with 2027 wide receiver commit Jeremiah Douglas from Vanderbilt. Douglas, a three-star recruit from Crandall High School near Dallas, announced on social media that he will visit Texas from June 5-7. The Longhorns offered Douglas a scholarship last May and are now looking to potentially flip him from his Vanderbilt commitment.
Why it matters
The Longhorns are looking to continue building their 2027 recruiting class after already landing several commitments, including five-star wide receiver Easton Royal. Adding Douglas, who is ranked the 54th overall player in Texas and 52nd wide receiver nationally, would give Texas another talented pass-catcher to develop for the future.
The details
Douglas committed to Vanderbilt on December 2nd but has remained open to other programs, including Texas which offered him a scholarship last May. The Longhorns have already secured commitments from several high-profile 2027 recruits, and adding Douglas would further bolster their receiving corps for the coming years.
