IndyCar's Santino Ferrucci 'Up in Air' Over Grand Prix of Arlington

Driver helps apply promotional graphics for the inaugural Java House-sponsored street race in Texas

Published on Feb. 9, 2026

NTT IndyCar Series driver Santino Ferrucci, who lives in Dallas, helped install promotional race graphics for the upcoming Java House Grand Prix of Arlington street course race at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. Ferrucci, who drives the patriotic-themed No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Dallara Chevy for A.J. Foyt Racing, said the new 2.73-mile circuit will produce an exceptional event that FOX Sports will broadcast to a live nationwide audience.

Why it matters

The Java House Grand Prix of Arlington is one of four new tracks on the 2026 IndyCar calendar, three of which are brand-new street courses. This influx of new venues is expected to inject extra excitement into the series and elevate fan engagement, especially with the series' new broadcast partnership with FOX Sports.

The details

Ferrucci, who was in his rookie season in 2018 when he got in trouble for driving around the Belle Isle course in Detroit before it was built, accepted an invitation to help install the promotional graphics at Globe Life Field. The 2.73-mile circuit will wind through Arlington's Entertainment District, thanks to a unique venture among Penske Entertainment, the Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment. Ferrucci said the course layout, with much of it running on the opposite side of the road, will present a challenge for drivers.

  • The Java House Grand Prix of Arlington is scheduled for March 13-15, 2026.

What they’re saying

“The course is phenomenal. I'm looking forward to it. I mean, we've got four new tracks this year on the calendar, three of which are brand-new street courses, which is so cool.”

“We needed to be racing in Texas. Now we are. We needed a Northeast race, regardless what it was. DC is the ultimate for media visibility—for our team, especially for the likes of our sponsors, Homes For Our Troops, running the red, white, and blue flag in our car all year long. So I'm just really thrilled with everything that the series has done, especially this season on FOX, to really put us out there and put us in the spotlight.”
