The Rustic, a 13-year-old indoor-outdoor music venue co-founded by Texas country artist Pat Green and Dallas restaurateurs Kyle Noonan and Josh Sepkowitz, is expanding outside of its longtime home in Dallas. The new location will open in The Colony's Grandscape development, replacing the former Lava Cantina. The Rustic is known for its live music, burgers, beers, and Americana spirit.
Why it matters
The Rustic's expansion to the Dallas suburbs marks the company's first jump north of the city, allowing it to welcome new communities into its Texas country and Red Dirt music-focused concept. The move also adds to the growing dining and entertainment options at Grandscape, a major development in The Colony that is attracting new restaurants and attractions.
The details
The new 29,000-square-foot Rustic location will swap out Lava Cantina's rock attitude for the brand's signature rustic spirit, live music, burgers, and beers. The Rustic co-owners say the new spot will provide a space for date nights, family brunches, and group gatherings in the suburbs. The original Dallas Rustic location, which opened 13 years ago, has been among Texas' highest-grossing venues in alcohol sales.
- The Rustic is expected to open at 5805 Grandscape Blvd. in The Colony.
- The original Dallas Rustic location remains at 3656 Howell St.
