North Crowley, the No. 2 ranked team in Class 6A in Texas, used a dominant defensive effort and strong shooting to defeat Coppell 71-40 in the 6A Division I regional semifinals. The Panthers jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back, advancing to the regional final where they will face No. 24 Allen, the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

North Crowley used an 11-0 run in the first quarter to take control of the game, getting multiple steals and blocked shots to fuel the spurt. The Panthers built a big lead and maintained it throughout, shooting 47% from the field including 58% on two-pointers. Coppell struggled mightily, shooting just 31% overall and only 9% from three-point range.
