Texas opened the meet with a top-two finish in the 200-yard medley relay. Maurer broke the 25-year-old Texas A&M Natatorium 1,000-yard freestyle pool record with a time of 8:37.19. The Longhorns posted top-three finishes in seven events, including the 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard backstroke, 500-yard freestyle, and 200-yard butterfly. Texas also claimed the top two spots in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
