The City of Cedar Park is gearing up for a $65 million residential and retail project called Block B of the Bell District. The development will include 194 multifamily units, an outdoor pool courtyard, an indoor amenity and leasing lobby, and a 530-space parking deck. It is part of the larger 54-acre Bell District aimed at "revitalizing" the heart of Cedar Park, a suburb northwest of Austin.
Why it matters
The Bell District development is a major investment in transforming the Cedar Park area into a more walkable, mixed-use community with new homes, workplaces, restaurants, retail, and public green spaces. It builds on the recent opening of a new 47,000 square-foot public library and aims to enhance connectivity and community engagement.
The details
Block B, also known as The Residences at Bell, will encompass 462,000 square feet and is set to break ground this November. In addition to the residential and parking components, the Bell District as a whole is designed with a great lawn, a retail district, a townhome community, and an office park. Developers highlight the planned trails that will provide pedestrian access and connectivity within the development and to the broader Cedar Park Regional Trail Network.
- Block B is set to break ground in November 2026.
- Construction on Block B is expected to last through 2028.
