The No. 4 Texas women's basketball team shot a season-high 11 of 22 from 3-point range and forced 28 turnovers in a 92-42 rout of Mississippi State on Sunday at Moody Center. This was the second consecutive game the Longhorns shot well above their average from long range, following a 93-62 win over Arkansas on Feb. 19 in which they made 10 3-pointers.
Why it matters
The dominant win clinches a top-4 seed and automatic quarterfinal berth for Texas in the upcoming SEC Tournament. It also showcases the Longhorns' ability to overwhelm opponents with their perimeter shooting and stifling defense, which will be crucial as they look to make a deep postseason run.

Point guard Rori Harmon dished out 11 assists, and forward Breya Cunningham pulled down 12 rebounds. The Longhorns outrebounded Mississippi State 42-21 and scored 39 points off turnovers.
