Texas softball superstar Reese Atwood has set a new all-time home run record for the Longhorns program, launching her 59th career homer in a win over Abilene Christian. Atwood surpassed the previous record of 58 held by Longhorn great Taylor Hoagland.

The details
In the bottom of the fourth inning against Abilene Christian, Atwood blasted a two-run home run to give Texas a 10-0 lead. The Longhorns would go on to win the game 11-0 in run-rule fashion. Atwood also drew a walk and scored twice in the contest.
