The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has announced the participants in its 2026-28 Relationships and Opportunities Advancing Development (ROAD) program. Through the ROAD program, NTTA pairs small businesses with major contractor firms to provide growth opportunities and help small firms compete for future NTTA projects.
Why it matters
The ROAD program is an important initiative by NTTA to support small businesses and increase diversity among its contractors. By providing mentorship, training, and networking opportunities, the program aims to build the capacity of small firms and create a pipeline of qualified vendors for NTTA's future projects.
The details
The ROAD program has been running for 18 years, with this being the ninth class of participants. Over 100 teams have completed the program since 2008, with some former protege firms going on to become mentors themselves in later classes. This year's class includes 16 prime contractors and 16 consultant firms that will work together through seminars, workshops, and networking events.
