Aloha Fish Company, a new seafood market in Nashville's OneC1TY neighborhood, is bringing the flavors of Hawaii to Music City. Founded by Jenn Cheung Cline during the pandemic, the market offers a wide variety of sustainably sourced fish and seafood, as well as Hawaiian-inspired prepared foods like poke bowls, musubis, and Kalua pork plates.
Why it matters
In a city known for its vibrant food scene, Aloha Fish Company stands out by offering a unique Hawaiian twist on seafood. The market's focus on high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients and Hawaiian culinary traditions provides Nashville residents with a taste of the Pacific.
The details
Aloha Fish Company started as an impromptu pandemic project when Jenn Cheung Cline, a meeting and events planner on furlough, ordered 80 pounds of fresh fish from Hawaii to share with friends and neighbors. The sustainably caught, same-day packed fish was a hit, leading the Clines to turn it into a full-fledged business. Now in a permanent location, the market offers an array of premium seafood, including thick fillets of wild-caught shutome (swordfish), mahi-mahi, and Bigeye ahi tuna, as well as Ora King salmon and Hokkaido scallops. The market also features Hawaiian-made rubs, sauces, and seasonings, and offers prepared dishes like poke bowls, musubis, and Kalua pork plates.

What they’re saying
“Hawaii is a place in many people's minds that you visit in celebration — a honeymoon, a special birthday trip, a long-awaited vacation. Being from there, I wanted to bring parts of that paradise here for people to experience, even if only in a small way.”
— Jenn Cheung Cline, Founder, Aloha Fish Company (nashvillelifestyles.com)
“We don't sell to restaurants. We are here for you, to provide freshness and taste you can trust. It's spendy, but the difference is clear. Through our DIY kits, you can make fish tacos with pineapple salsa, hand rolls, even clam linguine. We have miso marinade to replicate Nobu's miso cod. We teach classes in sushi making and oyster shucking, and we provide great recipes. We want to help you shine.”
