The Baylor School girls' and boys' swim teams both won state titles at the Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) Swimming and Diving State Championships in Nashville. The Baylor girls repeated as champions, finishing 89 points ahead of runner-up Ensworth, while the boys' team improved on a runner-up finish from last year by winning the title this year, finishing well ahead of defending champion McCallie.

Why it matters

Baylor's sweep of the boys' and girls' state titles showcases the strength of the school's swim program and its ability to consistently produce championship-caliber teams. The victories also highlight the competitive nature of high school swimming in Tennessee, where several schools have established themselves as powerhouses in the sport.

The details

On the girls' side, Baylor won just one event - the 400 free relay - but had strong showings across multiple events. Houston's Roos and Eva Rottink were individual standouts, with Roos winning the 50 and 100 frees, and Eva taking the 100 fly and 100 back. On the boys' side, Baylor was led by junior Hayden Vicknair, a Tennessee commit, who won the 200 free and 100 fly individually and was part of two winning relay teams. McCallie's Collin Holgerson, also a Tennessee commit, repeated as champion in the 200 IM and won the 100 back.
