Joyce Crawley Brown, a longtime educator in western Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah on March 16, 2026 at the age of 78. Brown taught a variety of subjects including math, biology, and her first love, English, during her 27-year teaching career in Mayfield, Christian County, and Marshall County. After retiring, she continued to teach homebound students in Marshall County for seven additional years.
