Stanley Lee Barnett, an 83-year-old resident of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on March 7, 2026 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Barnett had a long career in the U.S. Army National Guard, serving for 30 years and participating in the Persian Gulf War. He was also a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organizations, and was known for his love of NASCAR, the Tennessee Vols, and playing bingo at the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center.
