Colton Smith, a senior at Mitchell High School, was named to the Class AA all-state second team by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association. Smith, a 6-foot-5 forward/guard, led the Kernels in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and blocks this season, averaging a double-double. This marks the third straight year Smith has earned all-state honors, adding to a first-team selection in 2023-24 and a second-team pick in 2024-25.
