The Newberry High School varsity baseball team defeated Fairfield Central 19-1 in a dominant home performance on Wednesday, March 25th. The Bulldogs entered the game on a 4-game losing streak but quickly jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first inning and then exploded for 14 runs in the second to take a commanding 19-1 advantage. The game was called in the third inning due to the SCHSL mercy rule.
