Integer Technologies, a leading provider of adaptive AI defense technologies, has announced a strategic partnership with the South Carolina Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (SC CIC) Program. Through this new agreement, Integer will participate in the SC CIC Program, a SLED-sponsored initiative dedicated to intelligence sharing, advanced cybersecurity services, and coordinated incident response across the state's 16 critical infrastructure sectors.

Why it matters

This public-private collaboration aims to strengthen South Carolina's cybersecurity resilience by integrating private sector innovation and expertise with state and federal resources. The partnership will enable faster threat intelligence sharing and a more unified, centralized response to significant cyber incidents targeting the state's vital systems and infrastructure.

The details

As an early participant in the Defense Industrial Base sector of the SC CIC program, Integer will designate a Cyber Liaison Officer to facilitate two-way information sharing with the task force. Integer will provide timely data on critical resources and cyber infrastructure to support the state's defense and consequence management efforts. In return, the SC CIC Task Force will provide Integer and other private sector partners with cybersecurity services, intelligence, and support.

  • The SC CIC Program was launched in 2021 and is administered by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
  • Integer Technologies, founded in 2021, has maintained a growing partnership with the University of South Carolina since its inception.

What they’re saying

“Cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure demand unprecedented collaboration between the public and private sectors. Our partnership with the SC CIC Program sets a new standard for operational readiness. By integrating seamlessly with state and federal experts, we are delivering the proactive innovation and intelligence sharing required to protect the systems South Carolina's citizens and economy rely on.”

— Scott Thompson, Cyber engineering manager at Integer Technologies

“The defense of our critical infrastructure cannot exist in silos because adversaries do not respect the boundaries between public and private networks. Securing our vital systems requires the agility and innovation of private industry fused with the intelligence and reach of state and federal agencies. This partnership with the state of South Carolina's SC CIC Program under the administration of Governor Henry McMaster and Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette is a blueprint for how we must operationalize that public-private synergy to stay ahead of sophisticated threats.”

What’s next

The SC CIC Task Force will continue to onboard additional private sector partners and expand its cybersecurity services and intelligence sharing capabilities across South Carolina's critical infrastructure sectors.

The takeaway

This strategic partnership between Integer Technologies and the South Carolina Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Program demonstrates the importance of public-private collaboration in addressing sophisticated cyber threats. By combining private sector innovation with state and federal resources, the initiative aims to enhance the overall cybersecurity resilience of South Carolina's vital systems and infrastructure.
