AD, a large business-to-business buying and marketing group, reported record sales of $100 billion in 2025, a 20% increase over the prior year. The growth was driven by a 6% same-store sales increase in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as the successful merger with IMARK Electrical and 62 member company acquisitions.
Why it matters
AD's strong performance reflects the continued growth and consolidation in the industrial and construction supply sectors, as well as the power of the cooperative model to drive scale and purchasing efficiencies for its independent member companies.
The details
AD's total member sales grew 20% to reach a record $100 billion in 2025. This included a 6% same-store sales increase across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The bulk of the nonorganic growth came from AD's merger with IMARK Electrical, as well as 62 acquisitions made by individual AD member companies. Purchases by AD members from the group's supplier partners also grew 34%, up 7% on a same-store basis. AD distributed over $1.8 billion back to its owner-members as part of the cooperative's financial model.
