ROMERO & JULIET, a new zombie rock musical, will debut this Friday the 13th. The production reimagines Shakespeare's classic story in Verona, Pennsylvania during a 1980s music festival called Deadstock. The original score channels the sound of 1980s pop artists like Madonna, Bon Jovi, and George Michael.

Why it matters

The musical blends two beloved genres - zombie horror and Shakespearean romance - to create a unique theatrical experience. As a new original work, it represents an innovative take on classic stories and has the potential to attract a wide audience of musical theater and horror fans.

The production features zombie makeup effects designed by Christopher Patrick, with a creative team that includes scenic designer Tony Ferrieri, lighting designer Andrew David Ostrowski, costume designer Kimberly Brown, and sound designer Bob Bollman.
