Paris Bakery & Café, a French-inspired bakery and cafe based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, is opening a new location in downtown State College. The new bakery will feature a larger space and expanded menu, allowing the owners to offer 10 times more products than the original location, including a wider range of pastries, breads, lunch options, coffee, and tea. The bakery is expected to open in late April or May 2026.

Why it matters

The expansion of Paris Bakery & Café to State College will bring more high-quality, authentic French baked goods and cafe offerings to the area, catering to the large student population and broader community. The larger space will enable the bakery to diversify its menu and provide a unique dining experience.

The details

The new Paris Bakery & Café location will open at 122 W. College Ave. in the former space of the BRGR burger chain. The bakery will offer a wide range of sweet and savory pastries, breads, lunch options, coffees, and teas. The larger space will also allow the bakery to expand its menu to include Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven, as well as a dedicated area for low-sugar and gluten-free pastries like macarons. The State College location will have a design featuring pink walls, neon signs, and custom-made counters and furnishings to create an elegant yet energetic ambiance. The bakery will also convert the property's former bank vault into a gift shop where customers can purchase French goods and keepsakes.
