Prepare PA, a statewide climate resilience initiative led by Penn State, will host four regional network meetings across Pennsylvania in March and April 2026. The meetings will provide an opportunity for current and prospective members of the PA Climate Network to connect, learn more about Prepare PA, and offer feedback on the network's priorities and future activities.

Why it matters

As Pennsylvania's communities, wilderness and farms face increasing risks from extreme weather and climate change, Prepare PA aims to equip the state's regions with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to adapt, respond and thrive amid these challenges. The regional meetings will help ensure the network reflects the diverse needs and priorities of communities across the Commonwealth.

The details

Each of the four regional meetings will include a networking reception followed by a public presentation on Prepare PA and a facilitated discussion with attendees. The State College event will be held from 4-6 p.m., while the other three locations will follow the same format but begin an hour later, from 5-7 p.m. Prepare PA is a three-year initiative led by the Penn State Climate Consortium in collaboration with partners across Pennsylvania, with six integrated goals including reducing greenhouse gas emissions, helping communities prepare for climate impacts, and centering underserved and vulnerable communities in climate solutions.
