A retreat called 'Called, Chosen and Gifted: An Intercongregational Retreat for Women and Men Exploring Religious Life' will be held at the Mother Boniface Spirituality Center in Northeast Philadelphia from April 10-11. The program offers time for prayer, conversation, and exploration of one's baptismal call and personal vocation, facilitated by vocation ministers from several women's and men's religious communities.

Why it matters

The retreat provides a rare opportunity for those discerning a call to religious life to connect with vocation ministers and learn about the diverse charisms of different religious communities. In a time when fewer people are entering religious orders, events like this can help sustain and support vocations.

The details

The retreat begins on Friday, April 10 and continues through Saturday evening, April 11, concluding around 8:00 p.m. following Mass. Participants may also extend their stay through Sunday morning. Accommodations and meals from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast are provided at no additional cost beyond the $25 registration fee. Space is limited, and advance registration is required by noon on Friday, March 27.
