MindMaze Therapeutics and Vibra Healthcare announced the results of a two-year multi-site quality improvement program that demonstrated real-world evidence (RWE) of significantly enhanced functional recovery for stroke patients through the integration of technology-enabled, high-dose therapy into standard inpatient rehabilitation. The initiative, implemented across five of Vibra's inpatient medical rehabilitation facilities, successfully delivered supplemental, gamified therapy to 210 patients, addressing a critical gap in stroke care where staffing constraints and patient fatigue often limit the delivery of higher doses of therapy.

Why it matters

This study provides important real-world evidence that technology-enabled, high-intensity neurorehabilitation can lead to better outcomes for stroke patients, who often face limitations in the standard of care due to resource constraints. The findings could help drive broader adoption of innovative approaches to stroke therapy and rehabilitation.

The details

The program integrated MindMaze's digital therapeutic platform into Vibra's inpatient rehabilitation facilities, allowing stroke patients to receive supplemental, gamified therapy sessions in addition to their standard rehabilitation regimen. The results showed significant improvements in functional recovery metrics compared to historical controls receiving the standard of care.

  • The two-year quality improvement program was implemented from 2024 to 2026.
  • The results were presented at the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR) annual conference on March 31, 2026.

The players

MindMaze Therapeutics

A Swiss medical technology company that develops digital therapeutic solutions for neurological conditions.

Vibra Healthcare
