24 Local Grapplers Earn Sectional Titles in Mid-Penn Girls Wrestling
District 3 regional tournament set for February 28 at Manheim Central High School

The Mid-Penn Conference saw 24 local wrestlers win sectional titles across the four sectional tournaments last weekend. Central Dauphin, Cumberland Valley, Chambersburg, Big Spring, Shippensburg, Trinity, Gettysburg, and Northern all had individual champions advance to the upcoming District 3 regional tournament.

Central Dauphin crowned four sectional champions - Kate Hollinger (100 lbs), Aaliyah Johnson (130 lbs), Madison Rife (170 lbs), and Layla Barrios (235 lbs). However, the Rams' top-ranked 235-pounder Rozella Reese was absent from the sectional tournament. Cumberland Valley had five individual champions, including Ava Montes (100 lbs), Molly Stenger (112 lbs), Vedika Rajput (142 lbs), Emma Beaven (155 lbs), and Abbey Hollenbach (235 lbs). Chambersburg, Big Spring, Shippensburg, Trinity, Gettysburg, and Northern also had sectional titlists advance.
