The Portland Timbers have acquired 23-year-old Colombian midfielder José Caicedo from LIGA MX side Pumas UNAM. Caicedo, who has played over 100 matches for Pumas, will join the Timbers on a contract through the 2029-30 season with an option for 2030-31. To complete the deal, Portland acquired Caicedo's Discovery Priority from D.C. United for $50,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money.
