The Oregon Ducks continue to host top recruits in the 2027 class at their Junior Day events on campus. One of their top targets is North Carolina edge rusher Rashad Streets, a four-star prospect who recently visited Eugene and hinted at 'big news' coming soon. Streets is ranked as the No. 6 player in North Carolina and the No. 14 edge rusher nationally.

Why it matters

Landing top recruits like Streets is crucial for Oregon as they look to build on their recent success under head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks secured another top-five recruiting class in 2026, headlined by five-star edge rusher Anthony 'Tank' Jones, and will be looking to add more elite defensive talent in the 2027 class.

The details

Streets recorded impressive stats as a sophomore in 2024, with 123 tackles, 26.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass breakup. Last season, he posted 39.5 tackles for a loss, 15 sacks, 43 hurries, five forced fumbles and two blocked punts. He has received offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State in addition to Oregon, which offered him in March 2025.

  • Streets recently visited Oregon's campus for their Junior Day event on January 30, 2026.

What’s next

Streets narrowed down his list of schools to 12 back in November, and Oregon was among the teams on the list. He told On3's Hayes Fawcett that he sees Oregon as a 'great fit' and said that his position is valued in Eugene. The judge in the case will decide on Tuesday whether or not to allow Walker Reed Quinn out on bail.

The takeaway

Landing a top-ranked edge rusher like Rashad Streets would be a major coup for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks as they look to build on their recent recruiting success and continue to compete at a high level in the Pac-12 and nationally.
