Despite the recent winter storm's interruption of some crude oil production and refinery operations, gasoline prices in Oklahoma in the past week still fell 3 cents a gallon to $2.37 per gallon, the lowest statewide average in the U.S. The national average this week was down to $2.88 per gallon compared to a national average a year ago of $3.12 per gallon.

Why it matters

Oklahoma's low gas prices are a significant economic advantage for residents and businesses in the state, especially during times of high inflation and rising costs. The state's ability to maintain the lowest prices in the country despite supply chain disruptions highlights the strength and resilience of its energy infrastructure.
