Local powerlifters place at Panama's Iron Hog Classic

Local high school and junior high powerlifters from several area schools placed at last week's Iron Hog Classic competition in Panama. Standout performances included a runner-up finish, several top-five placements, and multiple individual champions across the small and large school divisions.

In the high school boys small school division, the Roland Rangers placed fifth as a team, with Joshawa Crase finishing as the runner-up at 198 pounds, Alexander Criswell taking fourth at 145 pounds, and John Allen placing fourth at 275 pounds. Gans Grizzlies powerlifter Anthony Vasquez won the 181-pound small school title, while teammate Dalton Scott was fifth at 157 pounds. In the large school boys division, five Muldrow Bulldogs placed, including a second-place finish by David Keenen at 123 pounds. The Central Tigers also had two powerlifters place in the small school division. On the girls side, Roland Lady Rangers Paisley Davis and Mira Reagan placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 143-pound class.
